Media summary

The Brisbane International Cycle Park, located at Murrarie Recreation Reserve, is a world-class cycling facility that sets a new standard for sustainable design and community recreation spaces. The centerpiece of the development is a dynamic, curved clubhouse building that overlooks the Criterium racing track, providing a premier destination for international cycling.

The Brisbane International Cycle Park Clubhouse, an iconic, identifiable and memorable showpiece linking all ‘wheeled’ elements: the international criterium and in-line skating tracks, recreational and sporting nodes. This facility is exemplary in its innovative and contemporary design befitting of a multi-purpose training facility for multi-level events and users.

The Clubhouse’s iconic design creates a ‘sense of space’ by achieving spaciousness, security and functionality for multiple users of the precinct, including cycling and inline skating clubs, a not-for-profit organisation and for public use. The Clubhouse forms an intrinsic pathway for future Olympians and Paralympians ahead of Brisbane 2032 and beyond.
