Brisbane
Arkhefield partnering together with Live Nation, Secret Sounds, John Collins and Scott Hutchinson – recognised Brisbane’s music scene had limited access to mid-size venues, meaning bands would have to travel interstate to gain the exposure they needed to launch their careers. The group saw the opportunity to fill the void that Festival Hall left behind by creating a new venue which could house 3000-4000 people.
All in all this was a journey of discovery and translating between the music and construction worlds, driven by the belief that Brisbane needed this place to gather, play, celebrate and have fun.
The Fortitude Valley Music Hall stands as a beacon of Brisbane’s thriving live music scene. It successfully blends Art Deco-inspired glamour with cutting-edge functionality. This adaptable, high-performance space integrates well with its urban surroundings, breathing new life into the precinct and enriching its cultural fabric. Through its competent design and vibrant atmosphere, the venue not only uplifts local artists and performers but also bolsters nearby businesses, reinforcing Brisbane’s reputation as a hub for live entertainment. Its dedication to excellence ensures a lasting impact, celebrating creativity and community in every note that reverberates through its storied halls. It has become the metronome for artistic expression in Brisbane.
